TL Program Overview


Achieve your dream of teaching and learning at the college level

The Norwich TL certificate will help you build a foundation of key knowledge and skills required for effective teaching and learning both in face-to face and online learning environments.

You will:
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of the teacher and of the students
  • Learn how to craft educational experiences that appeal to diverse learners
  • Understand how to develop effective assignments and classroom materials
  • Know when and how to use technology to aid learning
  • Gain skill in developing and sustaining a vibrant learning community

Program structure

  • Four start dates per year: March, June, September, or December
  • Two, six-credit, eleven-week seminars
  • Option to take seminars for credit or non-credit
  • Complete all coursework in one semester
  • Earn your certificate in six months from your enrollment date
  • Online, highly experiential, asynchronous curricular activities to include threaded discussions, reading, writing, and workplace-oriented assignments
