TL Program Overview
Achieve your dream of teaching and learning at the college level
The Norwich TL certificate will help you build a foundation of key knowledge and skills required for effective teaching and learning both in face-to face and online learning environments.
You will:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of the teacher and of the students
- Learn how to craft educational experiences that appeal to diverse learners
- Understand how to develop effective assignments and classroom materials
- Know when and how to use technology to aid learning
- Gain skill in developing and sustaining a vibrant learning community
Program structure
- Four start dates per year: March, June, September, or December
- Two, six-credit, eleven-week seminars
- Option to take seminars for credit or non-credit
- Complete all coursework in one semester
- Earn your certificate in six months from your enrollment date
- Online, highly experiential, asynchronous curricular activities to include threaded discussions, reading, writing, and workplace-oriented assignments
