Real problems—real solutions

As a professional you face real problems and challenges in your workplace environment, so you need a course of study that is both relevant and practical. As a student in the MJA program you will have the opportunity to conduct research from the vast online resources of the Norwich University Library, and apply the results of your research from criminal justice journals, and other online research, to resolve problems that mirror situations confronting today's leaders of criminal justice organizations. You will learn how to write effectively, since the MJA program requires you to write frequently, and all of your written work is reviewed and commented upon by faculty. You will learn how to express yourself clearly, as you will find yourself involved in group forums analyzing, discussing and debating relevant topics of interest to the profession.

MJA degree provides you with the necessary credentials to take advantage of the growing number of leadership positions in the justice system.

MJA graduates move into leadership positions that call upon the skills and training acquired in the program. Students already in leadership positions while in the program find that the MJA degree opens the doors to greater opportunities and challenges. Some remain in their current field; others move to other criminal justice agencies, and many turn to teaching at the community and college levels. A number of graduates continue their academic careers in the field of criminal justice by beginning doctoral studies in order to gain consulting positions or other challenging duties that require the highest academic qualifications.
