The field of education has become increasingly dynamic and complex within recent years and the demands on educational professionals continue to increase as well. As teachers, school administrators, parents, and communities struggle to solve problems and deal proactively with change, they have learned that "quick fix" improvements lack sustainability and credibility. More and more, the people who really care about education are realizing that fundamental transformation is needed in order to deal with the challenges facing education in a changing world.
The demand for highly qualified teachers, administrators, technology specialists and corporate educators is growing. The new education paradigm views these professionals as active managers for strategic change. The goal of the Norwich University Master of Education program is to transform experienced educational professionals into effective and proactive leaders and change agents.
All students take a core curriculum that consists of three seminars: Educational Leadership, Organizational Development, and Research and Technology. After completing the core curriculum, students have three track options: School Administration and Supervision, Educator Leader, or Education Technology. The concept of leadership is woven throughout all seminars and tracks.
The seminars are structured to build on what you already know. As you gain new knowledge through participation in the program, you will have opportunities to use that knowledge to solve real problems that face you in your professional life. The curriculum is structured to allow flexibility for you to focus on specific areas of interest within the context of each seminar.
For busy professionals there is no more convenient way to get an MEd than online. The online format allows you to focus on learning 15-20 hours per week, without interrupting your career. Our students complete their coursework before going to work or after the kids are in bed. All you need is an Internet connection and the will to take your career to the next level. Our dedicated technical support staff is available. The program is designed to be completed within 18-24 months.
If you are ready to take advantage of new opportunities, meet challenges and become a leader in your field, Norwich University offers everything necessary—convenience, innovative and interactive online classrooms, a manageable pace, and a vibrant community of scholars. If you enroll, the future holds the promise of personal achievement, career fulfillment, and the chance to forge powerful and long-lasting relationships with your fellow students and our wonderful faculty and staff.
Norwich University has been known for its tradition of excellence in education since its founding in 1819. Norwich University is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.
We look forward to welcoming you to the MEd program at Norwich University.
Sincerely,
